AI Won't Steal Your Job
The honest version of the fear everyone has — and the part that's actually true.
Here’s the line you’ve heard: AI is going to replace everyone. It’s mostly wrong, and the part that’s right is more boring than the headlines.
What AI is actually good at
Today’s AI is excellent at a narrow band of work:
- Drafting and rewriting text.
- Summarizing long documents.
- Answering questions about information you give it.
- Repetitive, rules-light tasks that used to eat an afternoon.
That’s enormously useful. It’s also not the same as running your business.
What it can’t do
It doesn’t know your customers. It doesn’t have judgment about a deal that smells wrong. It can’t be accountable when something goes sideways. It will confidently state things that are false. Left unsupervised on anything that matters, it’s a liability.
The honest version
The person who learns to direct these tools — point them at the right work, check the output, fold the time savings back into the business — pulls ahead of the person who ignores them. The job doesn’t disappear. The toolkit changes.
That’s the whole reason this course exists: not to fear the tool, but to run it.
